Park & Battery Named B2B Agency of the Year (and Many More Awards)

By Michael Ruby

It’s been a remarkable twenty-four hours at Park & Battery! Last night, we were honored with a silver as the B2B Marketing Elevation Awards Agency of the Year, one of four awards won. Then, this morning we awoke to find we are ranked among the five fastest-growing B2B agencies in the United States.

From year one to B2B Agency of the Year

We launched Park & Battery fifteen months ago with three goals:

  • Build the agency we’ve always wanted to work at
  • Make awesome stuff
  • Create an agency of consequence

We quickly found ourselves on the path to achieving the first two objectives, blessed with brave, kind and ambitious clients and an organization full of brilliant and generous talent. As we grew from two…to five…to twenty-five…to many more people over the course of our first twelve months, we got the strong feeling we were onto something special. What we didn’t anticipate – and what we can’t appreciate enough – is the impact we’ve been able to make.

Going into last night’s B2B Marketing Elevation Awards, one of the top honors in business-to-business marketing in the United States, we and our clients were shortlisted in five categories. We entered the event with no expectations of receiving anything other than a stiff drink from the bar.

What we got is thrilling and humbling, winning in four of five categories, including:

  • Gold for Best Omnichannel Campaign for our work with Esquire Bank
  • Gold for Best Demand Generation Campaign for our work with Indico Data
  • Silver for Best Social Media/Influencer Marketing for our work with Questex
  • Silver for B2B Agency of the Year (one of only two agencies recognized)
  • And our client Kyall Mai, SVP and Chief Innovation Officer of Esquire Bank, was awarded Gold as B2B Marketer of the Year

We were shortlisted alongside fantastic agencies of all sizes, many of whom have decades-long head starts on us. To be recognized among them – and then to be awarded – is a tremendous honor. Congrats to all the agencies who won, and all our thanks to B2B Marketing and the Elevation judges for selecting us.

Our star is fast on the rise

B2B Marketing also today released their annual US Agencies Benchmarking Report. Not only did Park & Battery make our inaugural appearance on the list among nearly fifty other top agencies, we ranked as the #4 agency on the list of Rising Star Agencies. This list recognizes agencies, big and small, who reported the largest percentage increase in US gross income last year.

And (incredibly) it doesn’t stop there…

While we don’t know the full results yet, we know that the agency has made the list of top agencies to watch for a major sector-specific marketing publication, we’ve won at the Association of National Advertisers B2 Awards – where we’re also shortlisted for B2B Agency of the Year – and Mike was recently named to the PM360 ELITE 100, recognizing business, marketing and creative leaders in the life sciences sector across healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics.

While P&B boasts remarkably talented and tenured professionals, it isn’t lost on us that these achievements are rare for a young (first-year!) agency. Rest assured, we treasure these recognitions, count our blessings, and know that we need to keep raising our game. Our client partners expect it of us. We demand it of ourselves.

At the same time, may I also add…YIPPEE!

Ahem…er…I mean…bravo, Park & Battery. #LFG
