Ted Kohnen
Chief Executive Officer

Over his career, Ted has been focused on helping hyper-growth start-ups and multi-national enterprises alike to activate their brands – telling their stories in meaningful and compelling ways to their most important audiences in order to accelerate awareness, interest and action.
As CEO, Ted works closely and empathetically with CEOs, CMOs and other marketing decision makers on the development and execution of business and marketing strategies in order to accelerate business performance.
Over his career, Ted has led key accounts such as ADP, Boeing, Columbia University, HP Enterprise, NCR, Oracle, Thermo Fisher Scientific, The State University of New York (SUNY), US Department of State, Weight Watchers and Western Union.
Ted earned his B.A in International Business and Management from Dickinson College and his M.S. from Columbia University. Most importantly, he is dad to 3 amazing daughters.

Michael Ruby
President, Chief Creative Officer

In his role, he is the company’s head of global brand strategy, creative and content. Michael’s work has been recognized by The One Show, Webby Awards, Global ACE Awards, B2 Awards, Content Marketing Awards, numerous awards from The Drum, and his favorite: “Best use of the word ‘boo-yah’ in a b-to-b ad ever,” according to Ad Age.
Prior to co-founding P&B, Michael was Chief Creative Officer and managing partner at Retina, the ANA’s 2021 and 2020 B2B Agency of the Year. Before that, Michael was tapped by Flexport, the SoftBank-backed, San Francisco-based unicorn, to build its internal creative/content marketing agency.
Through the course of his career, he’s positioned and activated brands with award-winning campaigns and content experiences for organizations such as Boeing, Facebook/Meta, ADP, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Merck, Korn Ferry, Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and Citrix Online, as well as growth-stage companies that have since been acquired by the likes of IBM, HP Enterprise, and Aetna.
He holds a degree in Film/Communications from Boston University. Most importantly, he’s Ben and Viv’s dad.

Rebecca Falk
VP, Client Services

Rebecca is a creative, dynamic and strategic marketer with a natural ability to tie marketing strategy to business strategy, and she excels in helping global B2B and consumer brands increase market share through multi-award-winning campaigns.
Rebecca brings fifteen years’ experience leading engagements and delivering transformational results for some of the world’s best tech, biotech, and professional services brands, on both the agency and client-side, in both her native United Kingdom and in the United States. She has worked with companies such as Meta/Facebook, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Juniper Networks, Zendesk, Oracle, Riverbed, Boeing, Korn Ferry, eXp World Holdings, among many others. In addition, Rebecca has served on the ANA NorCal board since 2020.
An adventurer at heart, Rebecca takes any opportunity she can to explore the world. She has cycled down the world’s most dangerous road in Bolivia, trekked in Rwanda with the wild mountain gorillas, and swam from Alcatraz to San Francisco. When not parachuting out of planes, Rebecca loves being at home with her dog, Buddy, and cats Bowie and Ziggy.

Karyn Scott
CMO In Residence

Karyn acts as a fractional CMO and c-suite advisor for numerous early-stage startups throughout Silicon Valley. Prior to that, Karyn was Chief Marketing Officer at Kloudspot, developers of the first AI-driven situational awareness and intelligence platform, and SVP, Head of Global Marketing at Flexport, the SoftBank-backed, San Francisco-based unicorn freight tech innovator.
Other key roles include Vice President and Head of Marketing at LogicMonitor, advisor to Nutanix, and Vice President, Global Marketing at AppDynamics (since acquired by Cisco). She has also held senior marketing leadership roles at Salesforce and Cisco.
Karyn serves on several boards, including the Bay Area CMO Governing Body for Evanta, a Gartner company, the Board of Advisors for FarmWise, and The Overground Railroad Project. She’s also a mentor with the Global Mentorship Initiative.
Before joining the tech world, Scott was a journalist at CNN and Fox News, and holds degrees in psychology and journalism from Boston University.

Teena Saur
VP, Strategy

Teena has a passion for building brands people love and trust, with deep expterise in Tech/SaaS, Gaming, Consumer Goods, Life Sciences/Biotechnology, Luxury Goods, Healthcare, and Financial Services.
She began her career in Paris working with DeBeers, The New York Times, Procter & Gamble, Mexx, and Wrigley’s. Since then, Teena has worked on both the client and agency sides developing B2B and B2C brand and campaign positioning, websites, persona profiles and messaging, content strategy and creative strategy for brands such as Thermo Fisher Scientific, Honeywell, Maravai, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, and RBC Wealth Management.
Teena holds an MBA in Luxury Brand Management from ESSEC in France and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Fashion Design from Ryerson. Most importantly, she is Olivia and Xavier’s mom.

Chad Young
VP, Global Business Operations

Chad is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of experience in business operations, corporate development, M&A, HR/talent acquisition, and DEI initiatives across multiple verticals. Through strategic acumen and a data-centric approach, Chad has driven and supported hyper-accelerated growth for various organizations.
Chad’s effective leadership skills and seasoned ability to build partnerships across organizations have made him an asset to his former companies including Colliers International and Marcus & Millichap.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Chad enjoys playing ice hockey, golf, travel and spending time with his wife, daughter and new puppy.

Daniel Santos
VP, Creative Services

Dan has worked extensively with some of the most recognizable B2B and B2C brands in the world, including Boeing, WeightWatchers, Coca-Cola, Bacardi, Heineken and Ferguson. A graduate of Syracuse University with a B.F.A. in Advertising Design, Dan has been on the forefront of the internet and digital advertising revolution from its very beginnings. While his initial background was engrained in print, he has mastered multiple forms of digital ad production and excels in adapting to its constant evolution – from digital/mobile display and rich media to marketing automation assets to video and other forms of digital multimedia.
When not at work, Dan is an avid history reader and loves to go to the beach and be outdoors with his wonderful wife and two boys – a 2- and a 15-year old, so he’s right in the thick of the most challenging child-rearing years, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Kristen Kremkau
Director of Content

Kristen has helped brands from a number of industries bring their content to the next level, including: technology, pharma/biotech, financial services, retail, food & beverage, and aviation (to name just a few). Her client experience includes Boeing, HSBC, WW, Trelleborg, ABB, Merck and IQVIA, among many others.
Kristen’s first love is storytelling. After earning her master’s degree in journalism from Quinnipiac University – where Kristen was trained to investigate stories – she decided to pursue a career helping businesses bring their stories to life in creative ways. Kristen is passionate about helping our clients stand out with content that begs to be read, watched and experienced. She loves working in innovative content formats, as well as refreshing tried and true ones.
When Kristen isn’t dreaming up content ideas for our clients, she’s running after her two little boys, writing stories as soon as they go to bed and drinking a whole lotta coffee.

Matt Dignan
Head of Website Development

At agencies including MRM//McCann, Number Six and Clearlink, Matt has provided his unique insight, guidance, leadership and expertise to projects of all shapes and sizes in a vast array of technologies for some of the world’s most recognizable brands, such as Cisco, Verizon Wireless, Grubhub, USPS and the State of Utah.
Matt brings technical leadership and deep expertise in front-end Web Development, specializing in platforms such as WordPress, Marketo, and Adobe Experience Manager, and modern frameworks such as VueJS and Angular.
Matt is problem solver and an answer seeker. He loves collaborating with the team and lending a hand where he’s needed. In his free time Matt loves spending quality time with his wife and five children, playing guitar and enjoying the beautiful Utah outdoors.

Nikki Willoughby
Head of Communications

Head of Communications
As P&B’s Head of Communications, Nikki is passionate about making connections, from culture to content to client to the collective experience. She is an accomplished writer, strategist, and collaborator, with both for-profit and nonprofit expertise to draw from.
Nikki’s favorite question is, “So what?” She looks for meaning and impact in the work she does for clients and shines when she is at her creative and questioning best.
With more than two decades of professional experience in both nonprofit and for-profit organizations, Nikki’s proven leadership and insight into brand work, public relations and earned media, and storytelling give her a unique perspective on her work. She embraces both big data and big creativity, which drive the work she loves to do.
Nikki’s passions outside her work include everything Jane Austen-related (and she has the Regency ballgowns to prove it). She is also an avid traveler—Nikki has visited all 50 of the United States and is on a quest to visit all seven continents. You will not best her at Scrabble.

Brianna Edwardson
Traffic Manager

Brianna has spent her professional career providing clarity, leadership and strategic support to multi-marketing channels ranging from politics, tourism, health and technology. Her work extends from the East and West coast with recognizable accounts such as the State of Utah, the Executive Office of Governor Snyder, CVS Health as well as Aetna.
Outside of P&B, during her free time, Brianna can be found empowering her love for the fine arts by either performing aerial such as silks, lyra and hammock or running a photography, home studio with her partner or taking photos of big artists like ARIZONA, Jungle, Two Feet and more. Even though Brianna is constantly on the go to be the next creative genius, she never turns down a lazy Sunday watching movies with her four cats.

Jenny Truong
Senior Designer

Prior to Park & Battery, Jenny was a leading experience designer at Stein IAS, where she worked with blue chip clients including Merck, MSCI, Covance, ETS, Republic Services, ABB and Nuix.
Outside of P&B, Jenny is an illustrator, sticker maker, and enjoys making adventurous travel itineraries for her friends. She can also be found exploring the street of NYC on her electric scooter in search of new and exciting snacks. Jenny holds a BFA in Advertising from Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Alex Douangdara
Senior Art Director

Alex is based in Salt Lake City and brings nearly a decade of agency experience to Park & Battery. Passionate about all things design, he has worked on some of the world’s most recognizable brands, such as Verizon, Cisco, USPS, and Reebok.
Outside of P&B, Alex loves spending time with his 2-year-old daughter, biking, exploring all the beautiful trails of Utah, and running his clothing brand called A Minute Past 8.

Ricardo Weibezahn
Senior Video Artist

As a young visual artist, Ricardo was thrown into the world of broadcast television but quickly realizing that his future lied on the digital realm. Making animated explainers was Ricardo’s means of access to digital media early in his career, which then gave him the opportunity to work on award winning documentaries and marketing campaigns. Over the past 10 years, he has worked with such esteemed companies as NBCUniversal Telemundo and Univision Communications.
When Ricardo is far away from the computer, and not adjusting clips on a timeline; you can find him outside somewhere under the bright Miami sun. Maybe making a coffee run, or just exploring the city with his wife Veronica and their two little yorkies.
